Anthony Joshua has suggested that the highly-anticipated all-British bout with Tyson Fury will eventually happen ‘in the near future’.
AJ has been touted to take on the Gypsy King, but somehow an agreement has not been reached since they were billed to meet in 2021.
Although both parties had signed a two-fight deal in March 2021, with the first bout scheduled for Saudi Arabia on August 14, a US Court ruled that Deontay Wilder was billed for a trilogy bout with Fury, which ended the agreement.
However, it seems an all-British fight will eventually happen, as Joshua and Fury enter into fresh negotiations for a fight on December 3.
Despite all the frustrations in the build-up, Joshua remains hopeful that the fight will happen.
