Bayelsa Governor advices Corp members to contribute in nation building.

Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri has advised new corps members to feel free to contribute their quota to the development of the State and country.

Governor Diri stated this when he paid an unscheduled visit to corps members at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Kaiama, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.

While welcoming them to the State on behalf of the people and government, the number one State citizen said he visited to know about their welfare rather than receive reports.

Describing the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Kaiama as one of the best camps in Nigeria, Governor Diri noted that his administration ensured it is functioning, though it was built by the immediate past administration.

According to him, upon assumption in office, he made efforts including financial and otherwise to ensure that the camp became functional.

The Governor promised to continue to ensure that their welfare is paramount and directed the Works and Infrastructure Commissioner to undertake the building of two additional hostels, one for the males and females, as well as walkways to the hostels and other buildings.
