Wife of Bayelsa State Governor, Dr. Gloria Diri has attributed success to resilience, hard work and patience.
Dr. Diri stated this during an end of tenure thanksgiving service reception/unveiling of books written by her Press Secretary and immediate past chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Bayelsa State Charpter, Mrs. Maria Olodi-Osumah at Chief DSP Memorial Banquet Hall, Yenagoa.
The Governor’s wife, who praised her for putting her thoughts into pen and paper described her as a go-getter, a disciplinarian and leader, advised people to channel their energy positively to achieve more.
In a welcome speech, the former NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs. Maria Olodi-Osumah, said it was necessary to appreciate God for her two tenures given to her by the association to give back to the society which birthed the books titled “Teen Girl’s Mind, Unedited” and “Deep Reflection”.
Mrs. Olodi-Osumah, also appreciated NAWOJANS for giving her the opportunity to serve and thanked everyone who grace the occasion stating that she was fulfilled on making NAWOJ a household name in the state.
In a remark, Chairman of the occasion and former Chief of Staff Chief Benson Agadaga, represented by the Governor’s representative in Ogbia Local Government Area, Mr. Prince Isiki, described Mrs. Olodi-Osumah as bold, respectful, intelligent and a woman to recorn with.
Chief Agadaga advised people to always believe in themselves and work with their visions.
NAWOJ Chairperson, Bayelsa State Charpter, Mrs. Grace Orumieyefa, Financial Secretary, Mrs. Patience Nicks-Osuoto and a member Miss. Lydia Gilbert described Mrs. Olodi-Osumah as an optimistic person, a goal getter and reliable person, they are privileged working with.
Highpoint of the event was the unveiling/lunch of the books by the Wife of the Governor Dr. Gloria Diri and other dignitaries.
