Wife of Bayelsa State Governor, Dr. Gloria Diri has appreciated first ladies of Delta and Edo states, Dame Edith Okowa and Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, for donating relief items to women as part of measures to cushion the impact of the twenty-twenty-two floods.

Receiving the items, Dr. Diri who said she was overwhelmed by the gestures at a time residents are rocked with difficulties, also assuredof support from the women during the general elections.

While presenting the items, Mrs. Edith Okowa and Mrs.Betsy Obaseke,stressed the need to assist impacted residents, but could not make it earlier due to certain challenges induced by the natural disaster.

They also appreciated Dr.  Diri for the warm reception and admonished women to ensure their voices count in society.

On their parts, women from various local government areas, Apostle Mary Kolokolo, Mrs.Tari Justice and Mrs. Ayibapriye Thomas appreciated them for the food items to ameliorate their sufferings.
