Bayelsa State Commissioner Of Police Redeployed To Anambra State

Commissioner of Police in-charge of Bayelsa State Mr. Echeng Echeng has been redeployed to Anambra State.

 

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Usman Alkali Baba in a statement, by the Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba ordered the immediate posting of the Commissioner.

 

Mr. Echeng is to takes over from Mr. Tony Olofu who has also been redeployed to the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

 

Mr. Mba said the IGP also ordered the deployment of a detachment of Police Special Forces to Anambra State to bolster the peace-building efforts of the Operation Restore Peace.

 

According to the Force’ spokesman, the IGP is concerned with the renewed attacks on citizens and governmentsymbol of State Authority and ordered the new Commissioner of Police to mobilize both kinetic and non-kinetic law enforcement and crime fighting approaches to reverse the negative trend, reclaim public spaces from hoodlums and restore public peace in the State.

 

He added that the IGP also charged Mr. Echeng Echeng to synergise with other stakeholders in Anambra State to restore law and order leveraging on his professional experience.
