Bayelsa state Government says the AIT-Elebele section of Opolo-Elebele road will be closed to traffic from today for reconstruction.

To this end, Bayelsans, other road users and motorists are redirected to take the Imiringi Road as alternative route for the period of reconstruction.

Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Moses Teibowei in a statement said, the move is to enable the construction company, Fiokiee Nigeria Limited, replace the two iron bridges leading to Elebele Community with new concrete bridges as well as reconstruct sections of the road damaged by the twenty-twenty-two flood.

He apologize for any inconveniences the development may cause the public even as government appreciate their understanding.
