Bayelsa State Governor approves cash gift for retired Permanent Secretaries

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri has approved cash gift of one million naira each to ten recently retired Permanent Secretaries of the State Civil Service.

Governor Diri, represented by Commissioner for Labour, Employment and Productivity, Mr. Braboke Stanley made this known at the-sent forth party organized by Bayelsa State Permanent Secretaries Forum for retirees at Golden Tulip Hotel Yenagoa.

The Governor, who said retiring is not a terminal point in life, encouraged the out gone permanent secretaries venture into activities that will keep them fit and relevant in society.

In an address, Head of Service, Mrs, Biobelemoye Charles-Onyema, commended the Permanent Secretaries Forum for celebrating their colleagues and urged the retirees to maintain positive mindset and join the prosperity walk every Thursday.

Appreciating Governor Diri for retaining the Permanent Secretaries appointed by the restoration government when he came on board, Chairman of the forum, Pastor Preye Agedah also appealed for provision of official vehicles and housing for those in active service.

Responding on behalf of the out gone permanent secretaries, Mr. Dikuro Ayebanuah, thanked his colleagues for the befitting farewell.
