In commemoration of a 16 day activism across the globe, the Bayelsa state Gender Response Initiative team GRIT joins the rest of the world to embark on a road walk against gender based Violence.

A statement by the chairman of GRIT Diseye Ogbise and Secretary Mr. inatimi Odio says the road walk which kick starts the event begins at 7 o’clock in the morning tomorrow from Ekeki Motor Park to the NUJ Ernest Ikoli Press Center along NTA Azikoro road Yenagoa.

Women and the girl child according according to the statement are the most vulnerable in society when it comes to gender based violence, hence the road walk to create the much desired awareness in order to make society a better place for all.
