Biometrics of primary schools, LGA Education Authorities in Bayelsa State continues.

The next phase of the biometric capturing exercise for Local Government staff, primary healthcare workers, primary school teachers, non-academic staff of all primary schools and LGA Education Authorities in Bayelsa State is continuing with Ogbia LGA.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Development and Chairman, Central Committee Biometric Capturing Exercise, Comrade Gowon Toruyouyei in a statement said the exercise will begin from tomorrow to Friday, at Ogbia Council Secretariat, Ogbia Main Town, by eight o’clock in the morning daily.

Comrade Toruyouyei said the exercise for Nembe LGA will start on June twenty-sixth to twenty-ninth, at Nembe Council Secretariat Nembe LGA, by eight o’clock in the morning daily.

He noted that Brass LGA will have its turn from July third to sixth, at its Secretariat in Twon-Brass, by eight o’clock in the morning daily.

According to him, the capturing for Southern Ijaw LGA will begin on July tenth to thirteenth at the Council Secretariat, Oporoma, by eight o’clock in the morning daily.

The Permanent Secretary noted that the biometric exercise is the outcome of meetings of critical stakeholders in the local government sector on the need for workers to also have timely, seamless, and transparent payment of salaries under the Prosperity Government.

He equally reiterated that it is compulsory that all staff appear in person for the capturing with only original copies of all service documents and credentials earlier submitted with their forms, and warns that, absentees would be seen as ghost workers.
