The Federal Government says, unless the private sector invests about three point five billion dollars yearly, raising electricity generation capacity to thirty thousand megawatts in the next seven years would remain a mirage.

Speaking at the ‘Solar Power Naija Programme in Abuja, Minister of Power, Aliyu Abubakar, linked the industrial revolution of the country to the power sector, adding that the Federal Ministry of Power is at the centre of undertaking critical actions that would transform the industry from public to a private sector-driven.
