Federal Government has approved a new entry level for nursing graduates into the Nigerian public service.
This was contained in a statement signed by Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan.
According to the statement, the National Council on Establishments at its forty-third Meeting held in Abuja, approved the entry grade level for nursing officers into the Nigerian Public Service from Senior Grade Level 09 to 10.
It states that to qualify for the nursing officers’ cadre, the candidate must have undertaken: five years of undergraduate studies for the award of B.Sc. Nursing; one-year Post-Graduation Internship; one-year National Youth Service Scheme; and Nursing and
Midwifery Council-registered and license to practice.
