Flood: Governor Diri begins free medical outreach for affected areas.

Governor Douye Diri has commenced a free medical outreach for residents in flooded rural areas of the State.

The program is tagged “Prosperity Free Medical Outreach,” and kick-started at Elemebiri community, Ward seven of Sagbama Local Government Area with almost three hundred beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries of the free medical outreach also came in their numbers from neighbouring community of Asamabiri.

The outreach covered free sugar level test, Blood Pressure test, malaria test, HIV test and eye test with an accompanying free glass, drugs, and other medical helps.

Speaking to newsmen at Elemebiri, Doctor Oweilade Liverpool who is spearheading the program said the Governor Douye Diri’s led administration is taking this initiative to ensure that Bayelsans remain healthy for better productivity and prosperity.

Doctor Liverpool explained that the Free Medical Outreach is about flooded and remote areas and they will be going to some other affected communities.

Also, Speaking was the Chairman, Elemebiri Community Development Committee (CDC), Mr. Lawrence Nimifa who thanked the Governor for bringing the health program at a time like this, pledged their total support for his second tenure, stating that the electioneering promises has been fulfilled.
