Governor DouyeDiri has urged Bayelsans to exhibit love and make sacrifices for the state and Country to prosper.
Governor Diri stated this while speaking at a Christmas church service at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Sampou in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.
The Governor in a message centered on sacrifice and love urged Bayelsans, especially Christians to have a forgiving spirit, and sacrifice personal interest for the overall interest of the State.
According to him, as a federating unit, if everyone in their various states keeps to the divine rule of love and sacrifice, Nigeria will be a better place for all.
In attendance were wife of the Governor, Dr. Gloria, Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and Ibenanaowei of Ekpetiama kingdom and Chairman, Bayelsa State council of traditional rulers, King Bubaraye Dakolo.
Other dignitaries are member representing Ekeremor Constituency One in the state House of Assembly, Mr. TariPorri, Chairman of People’s Democratic Party, Bayelsa State chapter, Mr. Solomon Agwanana, members of the State executive council and other government functionaries.
