Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri has inaugurated the Bayelsa chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Presidential Campaign and Advisory Council at the Peace Park, Yenagoa.
Governor Diri is Chairman of the Campaign Council, while former Governor, Senator Seriake Dickson, is Chairman of the Advisory Council.
The Governor on behalf of the chairman of the, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, congratulated members of the Atiku/Okowa campaign council, Bayelsa State chapter.
Governor Diri, who also received decampees from the All Progressives Congress and Labour Party, said that the Atiku/Okowa campaign is going to be issue-based and not on propaganda.
The State Chief Executive said they have restructured the PDP and the incoming president is going to recover Nigeria for Nigerians.
In attendance were, wife of the governor, Dr. Gloria Diri, the deputy governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Senator representing Bayelsa west, Senator Seriake Dickson, member representing Sagbama-Ekeremor Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Fred Agbedi, his Yenagoa/Kolokuma-Opokuma and Ogbia counterparts, Professor Steve Azaiki and Mr. Fred Obua.
Others are Speaker, Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr. Abraham Ingobere, former Managing Director of NDDC, Chief Timi Alaibe, other members of the Assembly, Chairman, People’s Democratic Party, Bayelsa State chapter, Mr. Solomon Agwana, amongst others.
