Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has presented the 2022 Appropriation Bill of N310.7 billion naira to the House Assembly.

The Appropriation Bill tagged “Budget of Sustainable Growth” provided for the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure the highest allocation of N51 billion naira to drive critical infrastructure.

Next is the Ministry of Agriculture which is allotted N12 billion , followed by education and health sectors that got N4 billion naira each, while the Ministry of Finance received N3 billion naira.

Governor Diri said the provision for Ministries of Power, Transport and Information, Strategy and Orientation is pegged at N1.5 billion naira each while that of Housing and Rural Development, Special Projects and Ijaw National Affairs are each allotted N1 billion naira.

The Ministry of Water Resources received N600 million naira.

For the Ministries of Trade and Investment, Budget and Economic Planning, Science and Technology, Culture and Tourism and Youths and Sports Development; they each got N500 million naira.
