Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Bayelsa
State Chapter has joined other well meaning Bayelsans to
congratulate the governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri and his
Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, on their well deserved
victory in the just concluded governorship election in the State.
In the congratulatory message, the Chairman Sagbama Local
Government Area and also Chairman Algon in the state, Mr. Richman
Samuel and secretary, Mr. Andy Tobi who is the Secretary Algon
commended Governor Diri peaceful disposition and dedication to
the development of Bayelsa State, particularly in the area of Road
infrastructure which include the Yenagoa-Oporoma Road Sagbama-
Ekeremor Road,Nembe-Brass Road,Glory Drive Phase II , AIT-
Igbogene Outer Ring road and the New Yenagoa City Link Road.
Other Lauderdale projects carried out by the governor are the Toru-
Orua-Toru-Ebeni Road, Igbedi Road, Completion of Isaac Boro Road,
Imiringi Bridge, Elebele Bridge, Nembe Unity Bridge , construction
of flood impacted roads among others.
According to Mr. Richman and Andy, ALGON Bayelsa State is proud
to identify with the Governor and his Deputy for their giant strides,
noting that the outcome of the results was a testament of the peoples
genuine love for Governor Douye Diri as demonstrated through the
ballots.
While Pledging their unalloyed support and commitment to work in
accordance with the policies and programmes of the prosperity
administration the statement described the governor’s victory as divine and well deserving, saying it was the best gift to Bayelsa State
and enjoined all well meaning people to rally round the governor and
his Deputy to achieve set goals.
While wishing him more successful years in governance, ALGON
prayed God to grant the Governor and his deputy a sound health,
knowledge and more wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state to a
greater height.
