Governor Diri Reiterates Commitment To Complete Major Projects

Governor Douye Diri has inspected two ongoing road projects, Yenagoa-Oporoma road and a section of Igbogene-AIT outer ring road where the projects are progressing.

The Governor, who was conducted round the projects by the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Moses Teibowei expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded by the contractors and that the jobs would be delivered on scheduled.

He expressed optimism that Southern Ijaw indigenes and the generality of people will drive to Angiama after the foundation laying ceremony for the bridge crossing the river into Oporoma.

Governor Diri said his prosperity administration will move further to extend the dividends of democracy to several communities beyond Oporoma and other surrounding towns in the state.

According to the Governor, his government has involved the International Oil Companies particularly Nigerian Agip Oil Company and Federal Government in developing the State with more assurances of good things to come.
