Ibom air now operational in Bayelsa State.

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has expressed delight at the take-off of an airline from Akwa Ibom to the State.
Speaking at the ceremony to announce commencement of commercial flight into Bayelsa Airport, Governor Diri recalled that last year the state welcomed its first commercial flight and is collaborating with a private owned company Ibom air.
He appreciated Governor Emmanuel Udom who he said has been in the saddle for about seven years and supported the state.
According to the Governor, the location of Bayelsa airport is central to attract passengers, and assured the people of its continuous operation.
In attendance were the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, members representing Sagbama/Ekeremor and Ogbia Federal Constituencies, Chief Fred Agbedi and Mr. Fred Obua, Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Chief Abraham Ingobere, other members of the House of Assembly, Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benson Konbowei, Commissioner for Transport, Mrs. Grace Ekiotenne, Executive Council members amongst others
