The Central Zone of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, has recognised some notable sons and daughters of Izon Nation including Senator representing Bayelsa West, Chief Seriake Dickson, in continuation of the fifty-fifth anniversary of Boro Day.
Speaking during a visit to Senator Dickson at his office in Abuja, Chairman of the zone, Comrade Clever Inodu said the visit was to present an award of honour to the lawmaker as the Voice of Ijaw Nation.
Comrade Inodu, who is also the Chairman of all Chairmen of the IYC Zones and Chapters Chairmen Forum said the award was presented to Senator Dickson after rigorous consultation with stakeholders across IYC Central Zone
Comrade Inodu also thanked the former Bayelsa State Governor for his remarkable performance at the Senate.
In a remark, Senator Dickson thanked the IYC Central Zone Executives and members of the IYC for the honour bestowed on him.
He reiterated his commitment in speaking and fighting for the Ijaw Nation
Senator Dickson also dedicated the award to the people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District for their support, prayers and solidarity.
