INEC appoints nine SANs to defend election

Nine Senior Advocates of Nigeria have been appointed by the Independent National Electoral Commission to defend the results of the February presidential election.

According to investigation, former Nigerian Bar Association President, Abubakar Mahmoud will lead the team of Senior Advocates of Nigeria. 

INEC budgeted over three billion to defend the results of the February presidential and National Assembly elections and the March eighteen governorship as well as state Assembly polls.

So far, over one hundred election petitions have been filed by aggrieved candidates and their parties across the country.
