Commissioner for Information and Voter Education of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Festus Okoye, says the commission will engage the Central Bank of Nigeria in talks to resolve issues concerning storage of election materials.
Last month, INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, had stated that sensitive election materials would no longer be routed through the apex bank following controversy that surrounded the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele’s political ambition.
However, in an interview with newsmen, Mr. Okoye warned that INEC was in for a logistics nightmare if it does not parley with the CBN over its election materials storage issues.
