Managing Director NLNG applauds the establishment of Intensive Care Unit

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas,(NLNG) Limited, Rivers State, Dr Philip Mshelbila has said the establishment of an Intensive Care Unit,(ICU) at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH) Okolobiri, Yenagoa local government area is a further indication that NLNG remains committed  to building a better society.

Speaking at the company’s inauguration of NDUTH ICU, Okolobiri, Dr Mshelbila, represented by NLNG General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, Mr Andy Odeh said the initiative was conceived after the COVID-19 pandemic.

In their goodwill messages, Chairman, Board of Directors NLNG, King Edmund Daukoru, Mingi the twelfth of Nembe Kingdom and Commissioner for Health Bayelsa State, Dr Parbara Newton-Igwele also represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Toyin Azebi, Commended NLNG for providing a health intervention facility to ensure the safety of lives in Bayelsa State and beyond

Also, Chief Medical Director NDUTH Okolobiri, Professor Dimie Ogoina explained that the ICU is a landmark project because it cuts across all core functions of the hospital which includes Specialist Healthcare, training of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students as well as research Scholars.
