NAWOJ Bayelsa chapter urges citizens to go out enmass to vote

Nigeria Association of Women Journalist (NAWOJ), Bayelsa State
chapter has called on women and youths in the state not to allow
themselves be used as agents to distort the electoral process before,
during and after the elections.

They also called on security agencies to put in modalities to ensure that
there will be peaceful elections and transition.
In a statement, Chairperson of NAWOJ, Mrs. Grace Orumieyefa and
Secretary Tekinyo Theophilus advised stakeholders to ensure the
election is peaceful, fair and credible while enjoining residents to
exercise their civic duty without fear.
The umbrella body for all women Journalist in the state encouraged
citizens to go out enmass to vote as it is the only way the country can get
democracy right.
They called on voters to choose credible candidates into elective offices
as well as urged INEC to ensure election results reflect the will of
voters.
