New naira: Sultan of Sokoto decries hunger in Nigeria.

The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar has lamented the crisis over naira redesign, which he said has caused hunger and anger in Nigeria.
He urged President Muhammadu Buhari to address the problem to prevent an uprising, noting that the naira crisis has made life unbearable for citizens.
Speaking at a two-day conference by Kano State government on livestock reforms and mitigation of associated conflicts which held in Abuja, he said there was increasing tension caused by the CBN monetary policy, which needs urgent steps.
The Sultan advised the government to keep politics aside and prioritized issues of development, especially for the common man, noting that God gave leadership and will judge.
