Nigeria Police Force has dismissed another officer who was caught in a video beating a man with a machete in the Ekori community of Cross River State.
The officer, Mr. Liyomo Okoi, a Police Constable was dismissed after facing an Orderly Room Trial in which he was found guilty.
Addressing journalists at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said Mr. Okoi’s conduct falls short of the professional standard.
The IGP has however warned that such conduct would not be tolerated by the Nigeria Police Force and that any officer caught engaging in any act of indiscipline would be shown the way out.
