Only 60% Nigerians are vaccinated against COVID-19, says FG

Executive Director of National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Mr. Faisal Shuaib has hinted that only sixty percent of eligible Nigerians have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Mr. Shuaib disclosed this in Abuja at a knowledge sharing for Accelerating Equitable Access, Acceptance and Uptake of COVID-19 Vaccines Project.

Represented by the State Immunisation Officer, Dr. Okoli Nicholas, the NPHCDA Director said Nigeria was yet to attain the target of vaccinating seventy percent of its citizens.

The project is geared at addressing vaccine hesitancy, build trust and ensuring equitable distribution of vaccines in Kano, Kaduna and the Federal Capital Territory.
