Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to present the twenty-three budget estimate to a joint session of the National Assembly in the first week of next month.

Mr. Gbajabiamila, who was responding to questions after inspecting ongoing renovation works in the House as well as the temporary chamber that will be used by the lawmakers upon resumption next week, was however silent on the modality the budget presentation will take.

He said the renovation inside the chamber of the House which is usually used for the joint session was still at preliminary stage without any indication that it will be ready in the next six months.

Mr. Gbajabiamila, called for the speedy completion of the ongoing renovation ahead of the delivery deadline of last month, while confirming that the Chamber may also not be ready for the inauguration of the tenth Assembly in June twenty-three.
