Prosperity led administration receives pat on the back.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Retired Captain Matthew Karimu, has given Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, a pat on the back for their humble and purposeful leadership style.

Capt Karimu, who is also a prominent businessman gave the commendation when he received a delegation of Bayelsa West stakeholders led by the Deputy Governor on a visit to his country home, Adagbabiri, in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state.

According to him, the Governor and his deputy has achieved so much in terms of promoting peace and unity in the state by practicing what he described as politics without discrimination and appreciated the duo for the laudable impacts in the governance of the state.

Commenting on the lifestyle of Senator Ewhrudjakpo, the Adagbabiri-born business mogul said the Deputy Governor had made all the good people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District proud with the competent manner he is handling his office.

Chief Karimu, who noted that although he was in a different political party, yet the Bayelsa Number Two Man demonstrated the true leader in him as a unifier at one of his most trying moments in life when his wife, Mrs Oby Karimu, passed on last year.

He stressed that Senator Ewhrudjakpo was making commendable efforts at building true unity in the senatorial district and pledged to always give him every necessary support to enable him to succeed more in office.

In his remarks, the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence explained that the visit was intended to show love, unity and build synergy as one people in the senatorial district, irrespective of their political diffrences and interests.

Senator Ewhrudjakpo said the visit was a fulfilment of an earlier promise to visit Retired Captain Matthew Karimu at Adagbabiri as he was absent at the wife’s funeral due to pressing state matters at the time.

The Deputy Governor frowned at wrong notions which impede the unity and progress of the state, pointing out that the projects the Prosperity Administration has done for the Adagbabiri community was a fulfillment of government’s responsibility to the people.

Meanwhile, Governor,  Douye Diri, has admonished young couples to make prayer their mainstay and build their homes on the sound principles of God’s word to be able to weather marital and other storms of life
