Resident doctors declare five-day warning strike

Nigerian  Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), has declared a five-day warning strike following the failure of the Federal Government to meet the demands of the association.

The five-day strike commences from tomorrow and ends on Monday next week.

The doctors declared the action in their extraordinary National Executive Council, meeting held virtually,

They had on the twenty ninth of last month issued a two-week ultimatum to the Federal Government to implement the agreements or face industrial action and the ultimatum ended last Saturday.

The doctors are demanding an immediate increment in the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure to the tune of two hundred per cent of the current gross salary of doctors.
