The ravaging flood currently sweeping across Bayelsa State is biting hard as more people have been sacked from their homes especially in most of the communities across the state.
Some staff reporters who monitored some areas report that the situation is improving especially with the continuous heavy rain which is allegedly giving current to the tide to wreck infrastructures.
Motorists travelling along the East/West road were reportedly stranded as the Ahoada/ Mbiama section of the road became impassable while many cars at the Patani/Ughelli section had to turn back because of the rising level of the water.
Investigations around Yenagoa metropolis indicated that the situation in Amarata, Akenfa, Akenpai, Agbura, Azikoro, Sani Abacha road and Ebis Mechanic road has grown worse with many residents of the area having to flee.
According to those who spoke with our reporters, the rising cost of food, fuel, power failure, continuous rainfall amongst other things are making them gradually lose hope.
They however called on the state and federal governments to help ameliorate some of their pains.
