South Africa battles power cuts

South Africans are struggling with crippling power cuts on a daily basis, which are imposing huge costs on business.

Report says there are fears about the impact on the wine industry as the country’s grape harvest gets under way.

South Africa is the eighth largest wine producer in the world, generating about three billion dollars in revenue every year.

Around half of the wine made in the country is exported to overseas markets, with UK drinkers being the largest consumers of South African wine.
