Speaker Bayelsa Assembly Commends Developmental Stride Of NCDMB.

Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr. Abraham Ingobere has commended the Executive Secretary of Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Mr. Simbi Wabote and his management for undertaking various capacity building programmes and trainings in host communities and other parts of the Niger Delta Region.

Mr.  Ingobere who gave the commendation when he led the leadership of the State House of Assembly on an interactive session with management of the NCDMB, also hailed the fruitful relationship between the Board and the Prosperity administration of Governor Douye Diri.

The Speaker who assured the Board of collaboration moving forward,
noted that citing of the Board’s headquarters and their activities have brought developments to the Niger Delta as well as the Oil and Gas industry, appreciated them them for living up to their corporate social responsibility

In a remark, the Majority Leader, Mr. Monday Obolo-Bubou said the content tower has added to the aesthetics of Yenagoa City and sued for collaboration in the areas of conflict resolution to ensure a cordial relationship with host communities just as the Assembly will synergize with the board in the area of legislations to strengthen the bonds.

On his part, Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, Mr. Simbi Wabote stated that the Board has already had fruitful collaborations with both the executive and judiciary in the State.

He promised that, with the visit the Board would open channels of effective collaboration with the legislature, henceforth.

While enumerating some of the Board’s efforts, Mr. Wabote disclosed that two modular refineries are under construction in the state, development of an industrial Park is near completion in Emeyal, a Gas Park to house a lot of gas related activities.

Others are Petroleum’s Products Terminal, establishment of Shipyard for repair/maintenance of big vessels and trainings at all levels, a fertilizer project all in Brass to stimulate developments and generate employment.

He called for necessary legislations from the State House of Assembly to regulate and standardize hotel’s facilities in the state because it has being a sort of concern expressed by many high profile visitors coming into the state for business in terms of befitting accommodation.
