Despite her injury, Nigeria’s Super Falcons captain Onome Ebi has joined Spanish Iberdrola side FC Levante La Planas Feminine.

Ebi sustained the injury during the semi-final clash against the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in the 2022 Women’s African Cup of Nations.

The experienced defender who started her professional career with Omidiran Babes in 2001 left the Belarusian club Minsk last season at the end of her contract.

Her move to the Spanish club was announced yesterday and the player said was thankful to God for the move.

Ebi who has 104 caps for the Super Falcons is expected to be fit before the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
