The convener of United Front for Douye Diri, UFDD, a support group for Governor Douye Diri’s re-election, Mr. Timothy Diekevie-Itiedu has scored Governor Diri high in the achievement of his Prosperity Administration’s agenda of infrastructural and human capacity development.
He also lauded Governor Diri for recognizing the importance of youth inclusiveness in his administration, saying no government has given the youths the chance to contribute their quota to Bayelsa’s growth like the present administration.
Diekevie-Itiedu, a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, stated this on the sidelines of the ‘1 Million Man Solidarity March For Diri’ which commenced at Tombia-Etegwe and terminted at the Peace Park, Opposite Government House Yenagoa.
He described the turn out of youths during the mammoth rally as overwhelming, noting that the youths are happy with the direction Governor Diri has taken in terms of developing the three Senatorial districts through construction of the Nembe-Brass road and Glory Drive among others
He cited some other infrastructure projects embarked upon by the administration to include Igbedi road, Ernest Ikoli Media Complex, Elebele bridge, Nembe Unity bridge, Igbogene-Elebele ring road, lecture halls and laboratories at the Bayelsa Medical University with more ongoing.
