Bola Tinubu  the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) campaign group has called for the release of Mr. Ebikpoemi Ebikibina Ugo, publicity secretary of the APC, Kolokuma/ Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Ugo was arraigned in Court and has been in prison custody for 18 days. A Magistrate Court had earlier granted the request of the Police to keep him in custody.

Ugo, who is also the Media Coordinator of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) Media Center in Bayelsa State was arrested on October 18 over allegations of defamation and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace following a Facebook post against the state government.

Keyamo in a press statement said, “we extremely disturbed by the actions of Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State in respect of the arrest, charge and remand in prison custody APC Publicity Secretary of Kolokuma/Opokuma L.G.A of Bayelsa State, Mr. Ebikpoemi Ebikibina Ugo.”
