Trees For Tomorrow Initiative:Chief. Bartholomew appeals to Gov. Diri

Executive Director, Trees For Tomorrow Initiative, Chief. Bartholomew Okolo  has made an appeal for Governor Douye Diri to adopt Palm tree as a state plant.

 He made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the Bayelsa state broadcasting corporation comprising the three media outlets.

Presenting his speech, Chief. Okolo urged Governor Diri to encourage Bayelsans to embrace the planting of palm trees and other economic trees that are helpful to mankind.

He opined the planting of palm trees on both sides of the road from the Ecumenical center to the endpoint, holding that it will serve as an endearing legacy that Governor Douye Diri will bequeath to posterity.

Chief Okolo  who expressed appreciation to the General managers and all that were present for the attention given to himself and his team, asked for partnership with the media team to take the message of the need to plant Trees to the nooks and crannies of the state.

Responding, the General Managers applauded the effort of the Executive director and promised to give desired support.

Several Tree seedlings were presented and planted at the premises of the media complex.

In attendance was the General Manager of Radio Bayelsa, Mr. Terence Ekise, the General Manager of NDTV , Mr. Fred Fabor, General Manager of New Waves , Mr. Preye Wariowei, Head of Administration – Mrs. Ebi Obuza, the Director of News And Current Affairs department, Mrs. Ibifuro Okah among others
