US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has arrived Senegal at the start of an
African tour.

She is expected to outline President Joe Biden's commitment to the
continent and offer African governments and businesses an alternative
stream of investment to that of China.

There is growing suspicion in many quarters over terms of loans offered
by Beijing.

The US is yet to meet many of its own multi-billion dollar commitments,
for instance on climate mitigation.
