Wife of Radio Bayelsa staff celebrates attainment of Professorship

It was a joyous moment when family, friends and colleagues, joined Mr Emmanuel Torubeli, at the God’s Kingdom Life and Power Ministries, Kpansia, to thank God for his wife, Professor Salome Emmanuel-Torubeli her attainment of professorship.

Speaking at the event, officiating minister, Reverend RexFord Sam-Mebine, in his sermon titled “Prayers and thanksgiving” said the importance of praise and thanksgiving cannot be overemphasized.

Citing biblical references from Psalms, Reverend Sam-Mebine, encouraged believers to make praise and thanksgiving a lifestyle rather than an occasional practice despite their status in society.

In a remark, husband of the celebrant, Mr Emmanuel Torubeli, appreciated God for creating the enabling environment for his wife to attain the pinnacle of her educational carrier, describing the achievement as a dream come true despite daunting challenges

Mr Torubeli, who is also Head of Engineering Department in the state Broadcasting Corporation, thanked staffers of the Corporation, friends and other well-wishers for coming to identify with them in their moment of celebration.

Earlier, the celebrant, Professor Salome Emmanuel-Torubeli, who narrated her experience, appreciated God for the insight and strength to persevere all through the educational odyssey while thanking her husband for being understanding and instrumental to her academic success.

Professor Torubeli also appealed to the men folk to encourage women to aspire higher in order to be supportive to their families.

On her part, staff of the Bayelsa State Broadcasting Corporation, Mrs Letty Ayakoroma, who used the celebrant as a point of reference to the women folk, urged females to take-up challenges that would make them compete favorably with their male counterparts.

Mrs Ayakoroma, who advised women not allow the social factor hinder them from aspiring for greatness, lauded the celebrant for achieving this feat and prayed God to enable her soar higher.

Former General managers of Radio Bayelsa, Mr Tari Febabor, NTDV, Mr. Tamarakuro Oweifie, Mr. Doutimi Erizia and Radio Bayelsa Chapel Chairman of RATTAWU, Comrade Victor Okara among others, graced the occasion.
