Witness confirms Uganda school children sang gospel songs before jihadists’ attack.

A woman in Uganda, Mary Masika, who lives opposite a school that was attacked by Islamist militants on Friday, last week, says they were singing gospel songs before the deadly attack.

The vicious attack left about forty people dead, many were school children.

The Allied Democratic Forces, an Islamic State-linked militant group, was blamed for the attack.

It was created in the nineteen nineties and took up arms against President Yoweri Museveni, alleging persecution of Muslims.

They are largely based in neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.

Ms Masika says she and other residents have been left terrified by the attack which lasted about ninety minutes.
