Women of Yenagoa Constituency 1,2 and 3 have pledged their support towards the actualization of the Governor Douye Diri and Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo second tenure in Creek Haven.
The women came out en-mass to accord the Wife of the Governor Dr Gloria Diri at Okordia,Zarama,Biseni and the ompadec field,Amarata in Yenagoa.
Speaking at the Sensitization Campaign, the Bayelsa First Lady highlighted the achievements of the Prosperity Government in the last three and half years to include infrastructural development, Women and Youths Empowerment programs, enhanced medical services through the provision Primary HealthCare Centers, Ernest Ikoli Media Complex amongst other projects sited in Yenagoa metropolis.
Dr Diri emphasized that the Prosperity Government ensured peace reigns in Yenagoa the State Capital and its environs with the establishment of the Peace Corps which has provided jobs for many Youths and deployed to parts of the state capital.
According to her, the number of verifiable projects in Yenagoa is indicative of Governor Douye Diri”s determination to give Yenagoa the deserved State Capital status.
While stating that the Second tenure for Governor Douye Diri would bring more progressive development across Yenagoa Local Government Area, she urged the Youths to Shun all forms of vices and joins forces with the Women to cast their votes for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) to enable the Government finish all ongoing projects.
In their separate remarks, member representing Yenagoa Constituency One in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mrs. Ayibanegiyefa Egba, immediate past Chief Whip of House, Mrs.Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, Mrs. Timi Elemefor, Wife of the member representing Yenagoa Constituency Three, Wives of the Commissioner for Education and that of Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mrs. Gentle Emelah and Mrs. Blessing Duba, appreciated the Wife of the Governor for the visit.
